This old-fashioned clove flavoured gum has strong ties to 1920's culture. Production first started in 1914 and Cadbury Adams uses the same style of packaging that it originated in, holding on to the retro aesthetic. Though production goes in and out, it has a strong enough following that it does keep coming back every few years, aficionados like to stock up during these times to ensure they're held over until the next production date.
Fun Fact: Clove gum really gained popularity during prohibition, as people believed they could cover up the scent of alcohol on their breath by chewing it.
